廃車の手続き～一時抹消登録について
今回は２種類ある自動車の廃車手続きの二つ目の『一時抹消登録』についてご説明いたします。
自動車を所有しているけれど、数年間の海外出張などでしばらく使わないという場合には、一時抹消登録という廃車の手続きをすることをお勧めします。
自動車は所有しているだけで、自動車税という税金がかかります。
この自動車税は、実際にどの程度その自動車を利用しているのかということに関係なく、車の種類や排気量などで税額が決まっているもので、毎年支払い義務が発生します。
自動車を集めるのが趣味で、数台所有しているという場合、全てにこの自動車税がかかります。
そこで、しばらく乗らないということが分かっている場合には、自動車の利用をしないという申請をしておくと良いです。
廃車の手続きには、永久抹消登録という方法と、一時抹消登録というものがありますが、永久抹消登録では、車をスクラップにするなど、乗れなくなってしまったという証明が必要になります。
一方の一時抹消登録は、ナンバーを外し、一時的に自動車の利用をやめます、というものなので、再びその車を使いたくなった時には、一時抹消登録を解除してナンバーを支給してもらうことで自動車に乗ることができるようになります。
自動車を所有していても利用しないという場合には、こうした措置を取ることで、車を売らなくても税金が発生しなくなるようにすることができます。
こうした手続きのメリットを理解して賢く利用できると良いですね。
